The Last of Logan is an experimental piece of fiction written for my MA. It’s the story of Jefferson Lane, a 12-year-old boy coming to terms with the death of his older brother, Logan, and is told through 24 Pokemon-style cards, which I designed in Affinity Designer from a Pokemon template.
Jefferson’s world is viewed through the prism of video games and Pokemon, so it felt a good way to tell his story. Since I got a first for it, I thought it might be nice to put 12 cards up for you to read. The MA module required a 3,500-word limit, so the story was limited to 24 cards. I’m now putting together the full 52-card deck ahead of submission to agents and publishers.
(Annoyingly, WordPress won’t let me put PDFs up so they’re jpegs and as such, not as good quality)
